AdBlue delete vs AdBlue emulator: what is the difference?
Two different approaches get confused all the time. Here is the distinction.
AdBlue emulator
An emulator is a small hardware box wired into the vehicle that mimics the signals of the SCR/AdBlue system so the ECU is satisfied. It is an external add-on: something physically installed and that can be found, fail or be removed.
AdBlue delete (software)
An AdBlue / SCR off in the ECU file turns off the software side of the SCR strategy in the map itself — no external box. This is what DaVinci Ghost does: it edits the bench file and corrects the checksum and CVN so the change is clean.
Where DaVinci Ghost fits
DaVinci Ghost is file software, not an emulator. You open the ECU dump, the analysis confirms whether the AdBlue solution is available for that software, you apply it, and you save. It also handles the NOx side that supports SCR, and it works on heavy-duty trucks as well as cars and vans.
