Load your modified file (and the original baseline) and the app recomputes the checksum and CVN so the file is accepted on write-back. With an active license this tool is free: no token is spent.

What checksum & CVN correction does

When an ECU map is edited, its checksum (and, on many units, the CVN) no longer matches and the file can be rejected. The tool recomputes them against the original so the modified file is valid again.

Wide ECU coverage

The correction bridge covers Simos18, PCR2.1, EDC16, EDC17, MED9, Delphi, SID, Marelli, Denso, MD1CS and more, detecting the ECU automatically from the file.

Three steps, one token

  1. Open your ECU file in DaVinci Ghost. The analysis identifies the control unit and shows every solution available for that exact software.
  2. Apply the CHK/CVN switch (and any other available switch). Enable CHK/CVN so the checksum and CVN are corrected on save.
  3. Save the file to your PC. If the file was not tunable, no token was charged.

Does checksum correction cost a token?

No. With an active license the checksum & CVN tool is free; it does not spend a daily token.

Do I need the original file?

Providing the original baseline of the same size gives the most reliable result; the tool can also work from the modified file alone on many units.
