DPF Off Software

DaVinci Ghost is the Windows desktop ECU software from DaVinci Deluxe for working on the diesel particulate filter (DPF) function of a car, van or heavy-duty truck ECU file. You open the file, the built-in analysis identifies the control unit and shows whether the DPF solution is available for that exact software, and you apply it on the bench. If the file is not tunable, no token is charged.

What DPF off does in the file

On a diesel ECU the DPF strategy controls the particulate filter and its regeneration cycles. The DPF switch in DaVinci Ghost turns off the software side of that strategy in the ECU map so the control unit no longer commands or monitors filter regeneration. This is a software file operation on a bench dump; it is for off-road, testing and educational use only.

Checksum and CVN handled for you

When you save, enable the CHK/CVN switch and the file is written back with a corrected checksum and CVN. It is part of the same token, with no extra step and no separate tool.

Three steps, one token

  1. Open your ECU file in DaVinci Ghost. The analysis identifies the control unit and shows every solution available for that exact software.
  2. Apply the DPF switch (and any other available switch). Enable CHK/CVN so the checksum and CVN are corrected on save.
  3. Save the file to your PC. If the file was not tunable, no token was charged.

Questions about DPF off

Which diesel ECUs support DPF off?

Bosch EDC15/16/17, MD1/MG1, Siemens/Continental SID and PCR, Delphi DCM, Denso and heavy-duty units such as EDC7, EDC17CV and MD1CE are covered on many software versions. Open your file and the analysis tells you exactly whether the DPF solution applies to that build, or check the live list on the Supported ECUs page.

Does it also work on trucks?

Yes. Passenger cars, vans and heavy-duty trucks use the same workflow: open the file, the analysis identifies the ECU, and the same daily tokens are used.

How much does DPF off cost?

It is included in a tunable file. One token is spent when the analysis confirms the ECU has solutions available; everything you then apply to that file (DPF, plus any other available switch and the checksum) is included.
