DaVinci Ghost is the Windows desktop ECU software from DaVinci Deluxe for working on the petrol particulate filter (OPF / GPF) function in a petrol car or van ECU file. Open the file, the analysis identifies the unit and shows whether the OPF/GPF solution is available, and you apply it on the bench. No token is charged for a file that is not tunable.

What OPF / GPF off does in the file

The OPF/GPF strategy manages the petrol particulate filter and its regeneration. The OPF switch turns off the software side of that strategy in the ECU map. It is a bench software operation for off-road, testing and educational use only.

For modern petrol ECUs

OPF/GPF appears on recent petrol units such as Bosch MED17 and MG1; the analysis shows whether the file you opened supports it, and the checksum is corrected on save.

Three steps, one token

  1. Open your ECU file in DaVinci Ghost. The analysis identifies the control unit and shows every solution available for that exact software.
  2. Apply the OPF/GPF switch (and any other available switch). Enable CHK/CVN so the checksum and CVN are corrected on save.
  3. Save the file to your PC. If the file was not tunable, no token was charged.

Which petrol ECUs support OPF / GPF off?

Modern Bosch MED17/MG1 and similar petrol units on many software versions. Open your file and the analysis confirms whether OPF/GPF applies; the Supported ECUs page has the live list.

Is OPF the same as DPF?

OPF/GPF is the petrol equivalent of the diesel DPF. See the DPF off page for diesels.

How is it billed?

One token per tunable file, everything applicable to that file included, checksum too.
